Received the boots for the back feet and tried them out today and after taking me an hour to get all four boots on took him out for a walk in hand. Perfectly sound!!
Problem: takes me an hour to put these boots on!! Have spoken to the supplier and they have said I can convert them to the buckle system, same as the Epic and these will mean the boots much easier to get on.. I left them on Tommy 'at liberty' for an hour to see if they would soften up. Went to get them off after an hour and he had ripped one of the gaiters from the front boots! So that boot it out of action until I get a replacement gaiter at a cost of £17. This was only the third time he has worn them so if this continues it means it could cost appx. £6 per session using these Contacted supplier and they indicated that, at liberty, this can happen as the horse is free to move around and roll etc. Would not suggest leaving these on when the horse is at liberty. Could be quite costly! I have ordered the easy-up buckles today to see how we get on. Hopefully, the boots will be much easier to put on. I really want these to work as he was so comfortable with them on. |
