Polly has sarcoids on her udders and Harley has developed warts on his muzzle.I have spoken to my vet on both cases and he basically said leave them alone they should resolve themselves eventually. ![]() Last week one of Polly's sarcoids seemed to flare up to twice it's size and was weaping. Spoke to vet again and he suggested using castor oil on them. Not orally but coating them in castor oil. He said it was an old remedy. Saturday, I coated Polly's sarcoids and Harley's warts. Meanwhile, I done a bit of research and decided on trying a combination of Thuja cream, Global herbs Sarc-ex and Restore. While I was waiting for the lotions and potions arrive, I used the Castor Oil again for a second day. It seemed like there was no improvement in Polly's sacriods and Harley's warts seemed a lot more angry. I stopped the Castor oil and starting putting Apple Cider Vinegar in their food once a day and started using the Sudocreme which I have used before for mud fever.Result for Polly on Wednesday, the sarcoid dropped off. Harley's warts also seemed a lot calmer. So what worked, not sure if it was a combination or the Castor Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar or the Sudocreme. Anyway, lotions and potions arrive today so I have started Polly and Harley on the Sarc-Ex and will use the Thuja Cream. Wont start the Restore untill they are in full time for the winter as it is suggested to use twice a day. It is a liver tonic and helps them absorb any other remedies given. Harley still has his warts (although a bit calmer) and Polly still has a couple of small sarcoids so I will let you know how we get on. I will continue with the Apple Cider Vinegar |
