Have just started (October 2007) trialing these out with Tommy (I had used the Old Mac to transition Magpie.) They are a not as easy to get on as the Old Macs but once on he seems quite comfortable and he's got smaller feet than Magpie being a thoroughbred.

I love riding bareback on Magpie but she gets a bit uncomfortable if we go on out on a long hack so I thought I would get a Torsion Endurance Saddle for those long hacks. Some of our hacks could be in the region of four hours.
It was bit strange when I first started using the saddle but Magpie seemed really happy in it and it is a lovely red colour.

These are all the rope products I use:
A 12 foot lead rope. I prefer this length, as it is long enough to do all your ground work, and get out of danger if you are working with a disrespectful horse, but it is not so long that you get tangled in it.
The rope has a weighted end that makes it easier to swing when you want your horse to move away, or yield. It also has a quick release snap.

These are the boots we used to transition Magpie in 2002. She has not worn a boot since 2004. These worked well for us but she couldn't wear them every day as she did get a bit rubbed.
Original Old Mac's are great for horses with wide hooves!
